I feel so terrible :(. I thought I would score a 700 atleast. In hindsight, I feel I have been too lenient with my quant preparation, and just my verbal preparation is not upto the mark. I have four weeks to go, and probably OG11 is the only guide I have been practising. Any tips/strategies from fellow bloggers are welcome. I have been visiting the Beatthegmat forums. I feel there is too much information floating around there, and what I need at this point is probably a synthesizer to filter useful information and ace the GMAT. I know I can do it, but my powerprep score surely isnt motivating me at this time :(

Pondering about my shortlists

Though I have to focus only on my GMAT now since its 5 weeks away, I have started pondering over whether my school shortlists are correct for me. I know once the GMAT is over , I can get back to my shortlists . But its been bothering me and I decided to put a stop to it. I have attended class visits for all the top 10 schools and met with current students and alumni and have a general perspective of what I can expect in each of the schools. I have been thinking and Wharton is the only school I am totally sure about at this point of time. I am going to remove all other schools from my list and not add them unless I find concrete reasons for applying to them.. Till then its Wharton only ....

I hate to procrastinate

I wasted my whole day yesterday. I was supposed to be working on the quantitative section of the GMAT. I hardly managed to skim through 1-2 pages.. I need to get back in to the rhythm of studying. I haven't been reading a lot these days, apart from research on Bschool which is fun stuff for me. Hope I study something today.

GMAT Date

My GMAT Date is 20 June 2008. I have about six weeks to prepare for it. I am planning to give six practice tests overall and hopefully aim to get a 700+ score. My quantitative skills are quite OK , I need to practice more on the verbal section. I read a few GMAT strategies at beatthegmat forums but I feel, each individual is different, so I am going to take it by the day. I plan to work on the problem solving section today.

My decision to apply for the Class of 2011

I have been thinking about pursuing my MBA for the past two years and have finally made up my mind to apply for the Class of 2011. I have taken the date for GMAT in June 2nd week. I believe 6 weeks of preparation should help me get a decent score. Will have to wait and watch how that goes. I just bought the OG 11 and the Manhattan Study Guide for the GMAT. I am hoping I can put in 2 hours every day, the constraint being responsibilities at my workplace have increased and I might have to put in late hours in the month of May. I have made a schedule to work dedicatedly for the next six weeks, hope I stick to it. The only good thing is since I have been thinking about B school for a while now, I have shortlisted my schools long time back based on my school visits and research. I will begin working on my application after I finish the GMAT. Goodluck to all you fellow bloggers !
